PFLAG Dayton
The local chapter of PFLAG, this group provides support for LGBTQ+ individuals, their families, and allies.
Many of the houses are a part of the Historic Registry, and even if you don’t live in one of these houses, you’ll be in awe of how amazing they look. The City of Dayton consistently receives perfect scores on the Municipal Equality Index. The Center is an association run entirely by volunteers and receives support from individual donors, area business, other non-profit organizations and from annual memberships.
If you’re looking for a historic home, this is the place. The city has anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ individuals in housing, employment, and public accommodations, thanks to municipal laws that go beyond state-level protections.
While some rural areas surrounding Dayton may be more conservative, the city itself leans inclusive, and the presence of Wright State University and the University of Dayton contributes to a youthful, progressive energy.

Dayton Metro Library
With inclusive programming and a curated collection of LGBTQ+ books and films, the Dayton Metro Library promotes visibility and education.
This annual index is compiled by the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest LGBTQ advocacy organization. The organization has brought close to 200 feature length and short films to Dayton since its inception, and hosted over 20 guest artists.
These groups offer resources, counseling, and social events to foster a sense of belonging and support.
Hosted by the Greater Dayton LGBT Center, the event attracts thousands and showcases the region’s queer joy and solidarity.

MJ’s on Jefferson
One of Dayton’s most beloved LGBTQ+ nightclubs, MJ’s is known for its drag shows, themed dance nights, and inclusive vibes.
