Their chemistry feels completely natural, and though the two are opposites in a lot of ways, they somehow work perfectly as a team.
Takano and Ritsu were highschool sweethearts that broke up after a misunderstanding, only to meet several years later. Their story is considered one of the healthiest examples of LGBTQ+ representation in anime and helped pave the way for better, more realistic BL romances.
The depth of their connection is displayed through intimate and emotionally charged scenes, where the lines between friendship and something more become increasingly blurred.
This iconic pair come together after Victor volunteers to become Yuri's coach and prepares him for the Grand Prix. The cutest game of cat and mouse ensues when Takano tries to woo Ritsu all over again while Ritsu denies his feelings tsundere style. Likewise, Mafuyu reignites a spark within Ritsuka and inspires him to play again.
