How Vecna Is Planning To Merge The Two Different Worlds
Stranger Things season 5 already revealed Vecna's plans involving the kids, preying on the weak-minded to use them as vessels to "reshape the world." Volume 2, however, further explains how Vecna plans to actually take over the world, and it involves the real world and an entirely different world.
I think he just felt more comfortable phrasing it that way. It was like, “Oh my God, how many more times can I do this scene?” But it was also nice because it allowed me to try so many different things.
Those speculations seemed to be confirmed, though never explicitly stated, in Season 4 when Will breaks down trying to profess his feelings toward Mike.

That fear of being outed or being susceptible to Vecna's manipulations pertaining to his identity made Will realize that, in order to be truly ready to face Vecna, he had to make his identity something that Vecna could no longer hold over him.
Maya speaks like a madman so I asked, “How do you learn all these lines and not think about it in the scene?” She said, “It’s not about how well you know it, it’s how long you’ve known it for, so just prep for months before.” So I’d just go through it morning and night every day for months before shooting, but I wouldn’t prep how to say it or how to feel.
He proposes that the Party wait until the worlds are closer together, specifically when their radio tower breaks through the rift into the Abyss. It pays off on Will’s arc toward self-acceptance and assurance. It all comes down to the series finale, which will predominantly focus on the Party carrying out their plan with the bridge.
As Will shares, Vecna uses his "vessels" to amplify his own abilities, and he's doing so to a greater degree with the group he took in Volume 1.
Vecna is holding the kids, including Holly, in his lair, which is located in a different world that Dustin nicknames "the Abyss." It's the same world that Henry ended up in after he was defeated by Eleven in Hawkins Lab.

At what point did you find out that Will was going to come out in Season 5, Episode 7?
I really had no notes about it.
Do you recall your co-stars’ reactions the first time that you rehearsed the scene, or did a table read? You can't take me away from my old friends 'cause I'm only matter because my old friends like me.' And then I worked one day with Noah, and I was like, 'Oh, these scenes! I kind of had to because it was so nerve-racking to know that the entire cast was there watching me.
Viewers haven't actually heard from Mike yet, but Will's comments seem fairly certain.
